The Lion King returned to the big screen this weekend for the first time in 17 years, and in 3D!!
King 3D dominated the box office in it’s return as well, bringing in $29.3 million dollars.
The Disney Flick, which reunited us with the voice of Jonathan Taylor Thomas for probably the first time in nearly 17 years knocked off last weeks winner, Contagion, which earned $14.5 in it’s second weekend.
Rounding out the top 5 were Drive, The Help, and Straw Dogs.
