A stuntman has been killed on the set of “The Expendables 2.”
The film, which stars Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean-Claude Van Damme, is currently being filmed in Bulgaria, and was called to a halt on Tuesday when a stunt gone wrong killed one man and sent another to the hospital.
The film was shooting an explosion scene near the city of Sofia, when tragedy struck. Local police have launched an investigation.
A statement from the production company reads: “It is with great regret that we confirm this unfortunate accident. Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident.”
