After a near record setting opening week, ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1’ held the top spot at the box office for the second week in a row, earning an additional $42 million dollars over the holiday weekend.
Newcomer ‘The Muppets’ came in second in it’s opening weekend, with $29 million in ticket sales.
Twilight’s domestic total to date has reached $271 million dollars.
Rounding out the top five were ‘Happy Feet 2,’ ‘Arthur Christmas,’ and ‘Hugo.’
