What does Ryan Seacrest not do?
Could his next move be replacing Matt Lauer on ‘The Today Show’ if the host decides not to renew his contract?
Lauer has been co-host of NBC’s popular morning show since 1997, but his contract is up in 2012, so NBC is taking aim at potential replacements to be ready to go if by chance Lauer decides to move on next year.
Seacrest is already the host of LA’s most popular morning radio show, E! News, and American Idol, while serving as executive producer on so many reality shows we have lost track.
So how would he balance out all of those gigs and be available to film “The Today Show” which films in New York?
Well there’d likely be big changes for Ryan Seacrest productions, moving the camp to NYC, ditching morning radio, and he might have to give up E! News and Idol as well!
Or would he force ‘Today’ to find him a way to film all his segments from LA? Maybe hologram him into the studio and make ‘Today’ the future of TV?
If anyone can do it, Seacrest can.
Ryan Seacrest wouldn’t know where to start if he was interviewing
somebody like the Pope, the Dalai Lama, or a foreign leader. I’ve had my
issues with Jay Leno, but you have to admit that Jay would be better
suited for this job than Ryan. He has interviewed President Obama twice
and has filled in for Katie Couric. But, nobody can replace Matt. Matt
goes, and the ratings will go out the door with him. Matt and Al have
been holding down the fort since Meredith Viera left. Matt needs to
stay put.
