Who Won At The Box Office This Weekend?

Technically, nobody!

It was ‘New Years Eve’ vs. ‘The Sitter’ for new films this weekend, which ended up being the worst box office showing in the past 10 years!

‘New Years Eve’ and it’s gaggle of stars including Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Robert DiNero, Katherine Heigl, Halle Berry, and Zac Efron earned  only $13.6 million in it’s opening weekend.  A huge dip as the sequel to “Valentines Day,”  which earned $56 million when it was released in 2010.

Jona Hill’s ‘The Sitter’ earned only $10 million.

These totals are lower than the two weekends after 9/11 in 2001.
