Mark Wahlberg is hoping that his children don’t grown up to get tattoos, so he took them to the doctors to watch his tattoo removal procedure.
Wahlberg had six or seven tats removed prior to filming ‘The Fighter’ in 2010, because he didn’t want to have to sit in the makeup chair each day and get them covered prior to filming.
The actor took his two oldest children along as a painful reminder of what they will have to go through if they choose to get tattoos in the future.
He tells ‘The Today Show,’ “(All the tattoos) have meaning to me, but it’s both personal and professional. I don’t want my kids getting tattoos. And I wanted them to be (removed) by the time I did The Fighter because putting make-up on and covering them up has always been a pain in the butt.”
“I’ve taken my two older kids to the procedure so they see how painful it is and what I have to go through.”
