Russell Brand got into a bit of trouble on Monday when he took a cell phone from the hands of a man snapping a photo of him and tossed it threw a New Orleans window.
The photographer filed a police report and a warrant was issued for Brand’s arrest.
After offering to pay for the damages for the window and phone, Brand turned himself into the police station on Thursday.
Brand Tweeted of the incident to his followers; “SinceĀ Steve JobsĀ died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently. What I did was a tribute to his memory.”
Brand is currently being held on $5,000 bail and was being charged with simple criminal damage, $500 to $50,000, per his booking documents.
