The separation of Jennie Garth and Peter Francinelli is officially on paper.
Francinelli filed divorce papers in an LA court room on Wednesday, citing irreconcilable differences, with the separation dated as January 1, 2012.
The couple reportedly visited a therapist to help break the news to their three daughters, aged between five and fourteen.
Francinelli is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the children.
The couple was married for eleven years.
