It usually goes one way or the other for multi talented artists, and for Selena Gomez, who took some time away from television to start her music career, it’s back to the screen.
Gomez just recently wrapped filming on upcoming comedy “Spring Breakers,” alongside Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson, and was recently announced as the replacement for her pal Miley Cyrus in Adam Sandler’s animated movie “Hotel Transylvania.”
Gomez has now officially signed on to star in “The Getaway,” and will be putting her music on pause for a bit.
Selena tells MTV News, “I’m just kind of halting music for a bit. (I’ve) been really focused on more acting. For me it’s been fun to take risks and do things that are completely different.”
Discussing her new movie with Ethan Hawke, she explains, “It’s really, really exciting. I go to Bulgaria and then I start filming. It’s more of an action movie, which is also different.”
