It was reported yesterday that bosses at ‘Theraflu’ had pressured Kanye West into changing the name of his latest single, as they had no connection to the artist who recently released a single of the same name.
In a statement to TMZ, bosses from the cold and flu medicine company said, “We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner.”
West changed the name of the song to ‘Way Too Cold’ and subsequently altered the single’s cover art to remove the image of Theraflu, but now bosses at the company are claiming they had nothing to do with the change.
A new statement from Novartis Consumer Health, with a play on words, reads, “Novartis Consumer Health did not ask that the name be changed – that request would be way too cold.”
