Maroon 5 have broken a pop chart record by becoming the first band to reach the 490,000 digital download sales mark in one week.
The group’s latest single, “Payphone,” which features Wiz Kahlifa, has come crashing into the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the number three spot, selling 493,000 copies of the single. That’s nearly 30,000 more than previous record holder ‘The Black Eyed Peas who’s single ‘Boom Boom Pow’ set the record for groups back in 2009.
Congrats to Adam Levine and whoever else is in the band.
