Not only did ‘Ted’ beat out ‘Magic Mike’ at the box office this weekend, but it broke records!
After a shocking $54.1 million opening weekend, the foul mouth stuffed bear broke “The Hangover’s” box office record for the biggest R-rated opening in the United States.
The film stars Mark Wahlberg who is granted a wish that his teddy bear comes to life, and what happens over the next 27 years you have to see to believe!
Male stripper flick, “Magic Mike,” starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey came in second for the weekend, earning $39.2 million.
Congrats to Seth Macfarline, on the record breaking weekend. Hopefully he celebrates all he can today, because ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ hits theaters tomorrow, and it’s game over for a couple of weeks.
