Adam Lambert, the season 8 runner-up on ‘American Idol,’ is reportedly in talks to join the show as a judge for season 12, according to E! News.
A source tells E! that the negotiations have been going on for about a month now, with the source saying:
“He personifies the show, and will be a popular choice right from the start. He knows what it’s like to be on the receiving end of the judges’ comments, he has a human touch, and they know they can’t go wrong if they bring him on. He would be able to bring a unique perspective to the show. People love him.”
The question is, are these Lambert ramblings the proof that Jennifer Lopez will not be returning to judge for a third season on the show?
It was Lopez who hinted at a possible departure during a chat with Ellen DeGeneres in which she said she “misses doing other things,” adding “It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year.”
