Bosses from New York nightclub W.i.P. have asked the judge to dismiss a $20 million dollar lawsuit by NBA star Tony Parker, who sued over allegations he was injured during an altercation involving Drake and Chris Brown.
The incident took place on June 14 when a fight allegedly broke out between the two singers’ parties who were both in attendance that night.
Parker claims he was injured by a shard of glass when the parties began throwing bottles, and in the suit he claims the club owners should have been aware of the “bad blood” between both Drake and Brown’s crews.
The injuries also caused Parker to require surgery on his eye, and almost caused for him to miss playing for France in the Olympics.
Club owners at Entertainment Enterprises, Ltd. have filed new legal papers asking a judge to dismiss Parker’s case, claiming that they don’t keep track of club-goers’ personal grudges and can’t be held responsible for the alleged fight.
