USA Soccer star Hope Solo’s fiance was arrested on suspicion of assault just one day before their wedding was to take place on Tuesday.
Solo was set to walk down the aisle with football star Jerramy Stevens in Seattle, Washington, however the ceremony was called off after Monday’s events.
Stevens was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault after officers saw signs of a fight and blood on his shirt when investigating a disturbance at a private party in Kirkland, Washington.
The arresting officer noted in the report that Stevens admitted to arguing with Solo, who had a cut on her elbow at the time of the investigation.
The AP reports that Solo appeared in court Tuesday, and the charges against Stevens were dropped.
The couple had been dating for two months, and applied for the marriage license just a week ago. They planned to keep the quickie wedding under wraps. So much for that.
