‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ debuted to a huge opening this weekend, becoming the franchises best opening world wide after earning more than $340 million in ticket sales.
Domestically, the film brought in $141.3 million dolars, just a bit behind ‘New Moon’ which opened in 2009 with $142.8 million.
New James Bond flick, ‘Skyfall’ earned $41.5 million over the weekend, and Speilberg’s ‘Lincoln’ took the third spot with $21 million.
Rounding out the top 5 were ‘Wreck-It-Ralph’ ($18.3 million) and ‘Flight’ ($8.6 million)
