Yesterday it was reported that Nick Lachey was kicked out of the Bengals-Chargers NFL game on Sunday after getting into a verbal altercation with an opposing fan.
Lachey took to his Twitter to announce he was proud of getting removed, because when someone puts their finger in your face, they deserved a reaction.
Fast forward to Tuesday, and that Chargers fan has come forward, claiming that Lachey choked him and pushed him to the ground.
According to the report on TMZ, the man was wearing a jersey of a player who doesn’t play for the Chargers any more, and Lachey was giving him grief over it throughout the game. That’s when the man’s wife fired back at the singer saying “Well, he lasted longer than your boy band.”
This is when Lachey allegedly called the woman a “f*cking bitch” and “a host of other profanities.” The man claims that’s when Nick lunged at him, grabbed him by the neck, and shoved him to the ground, causing for security to escort him from the stadium.
Lachey left those details out of his Tweet, but that’s because he claims they are FALSE!
A rep for Nick spoke with TMZ about the story and told the site, This is a gross misrepresentation of what happened. It was nothing but a spirited debate between fans of opposing teams. At no point did Nick say anything derogatory to the man’s wife and anything to suggest the contrary is simply untrue.”
The fan plans on pressing charges, so look for more information and an investigation to take place. Don’t count out the fact that this could just be someone hoping to make a few bucks off of a celebrity and get their name in the paper.
