Shia LaBeouf opened up to the recent issue of GQ magazine about his 2008 truck accident, and the criticism he faced in the weeks following.
The initial reports from the crash site was that the actor had been drinking and driving when his truck flipped over in Hollywood, but it was later discovered that it was another drivers fault for running a red light, and no charges were ever brought against Shia.
That didn’t stop celebs from preaching out to the actor to be careful, including Khloe Kardashian Kim Kardashian’s sister.
Shia tells the mag;
“I’d be watching the news, and they’d play my car crash, and every once in a while Kim Kardashian’s sister would jump on TV and preach to me from the red carpet about how to live my f****** life, Shia explains, “And I’m so upset, man. I’m so angry,” he goes on. “Because this accident was not caused by me. I got hit. I had a green. This f***** ran a red light. And he flipped my truck, and he shoveled it on my hand. And my fingers are in the street… they’re off, they’re under the truck door.”
Khloe Kardashian was coincidentally nabbed for a DUI that year, she later spent 173 minutes in jail for the crime.
Labeouf is promoting his new film, Wall Street 2, and you can check out more of the interview in the new GQ.
