So here’s the trailer for the (second) sequel to Paranormal Activity.
Yes, if you haven’t heard, in addition to Paranormal Activity 2, which will be out later this month, a separate Paranormal Activity sequel is being released in Japan.
Paranormal Activity 2: Tokyo Nights is being released and you can check out the trailer below.
It’s all in Japanese, so we’re not getting too pumped about seeing a DVD or bootleg copy , but it’d be a shame if it ended up better than the US sequel.
The real question is, why did they need a separate sequel for Japan?
Japan is not getting this movie instead of Paranormal Activity 2, they are getting -both- movies. PA 2 will be released in February, while this alternate sequel was released last month.
Japanese companies love to milk franchises by releasing a movie and TV adaptation at the same time, so the Japanese audience is used to getting several versions of a franchise at the same time.
