No, it’s not for another Rocky film, but it’s actually better!
According to an industry tweet, a boxing film starring Sylvester Stallone, who played Rocky Balboa in six movies between 1976 and 2006 is set to take on Robert Di Nero, who played Jake LaMotta in 1980’s Raging Bull for a new film called Grudge Match.
The movie tells the story of two ex-boxers – Billy ‘The Kid’ McGuigan and Henry ‘Razor’ Sharp – who agree to come out of retirement for one last bout, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
We think this one’s got mega potential!
I love Sly to death but this one just doesn’t sound right. He’s sticking with a series of The Expendables which is a much better fit. If he does anything with boxing we’ll all be thinking of ROCKY again. And DeNiro is not in shape anymore for another boxer flick. (Sorry, Bobby!)
