Floyd Mayweather Jr. was arrested on Thursday in Las Vegas relating to a charge of criminal battery.
Mayweather allegedly jabbed a man in the face in November during a dispute with a parking attendant in Las Vegas, and the Judge issued a new warrant after the prosecution claimed the champion boxer was receiving preferential treatment in the case.
Floyd was apprehended on Thursday night when a casino bodyguard recognized him and alerted the authorities.
If convicted, he faces six months to a year in prison.
