American Idol has reportedly acted real fast in getting a new female judge for season twelve.
It was previously rumored that Mariah Carey was on their radar, and now it’s being reported that she officially has signed on the dotted line.
Carey will be taking the seat anchored by Jennifer Lopez last season, and has signed a deal reportedly worth somewhere between $12 million and $17 million dollars.
The news also reports that judge Randy Jackson is set to stay on board with the new signing.
Now it’s just up to filling the seat left vacant by Steven Tyler.
