The Dark Knight Rises spent it’s third weekend at the top of the box office this past weekend, edging out the release of the new ‘Total Recall’ film.
The Christian Bale film earned $36.4 million in weekend three, beating out the ‘Total Recall’ remake, which earned $26 million in it’s opening weekend.
‘TDKR’ has earned a total of $355 million in the USA since it’s debut in July, opening to $160.9 in ticket sales during opening weekend.
Rounding out the top five was ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days,” ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift,’ and ‘The Watch.’
