Taylor Swift has made a donation of $10,000 to a school in Massachusetts for deaf children after the school was the target of an internet prank.
Swift launched a competition on Facebook in which she would perform a concert at whichever school raked in the highest number of votes. Internet pranksters took over the contest and nominated Horace Mann School For The Deaf and Hard of Hearing as the winner.
Contest administrators decided to remove Horace Mann from the competition when they figured out what was going on, however it didn’t go unnoticed to Swift, who handed over a personal donation of $10,000 dollars, which has also been matched by four additional sponsors, as well as offering a free ticket to her next local concert to every student at the school.
The story even lead to bosses behind the VH1 Save The Music program to pledge $10,000 in instruments for the students.
This girl definitely has a heart!
