New Kids on the Block is in the middle of their big “comeback” tour, but Major League Baseball went with another group of has-beens to kick off the 2008 World Series.
The Backstreet Boys were chosen to sing the National Anthem at the first game of the best-of-seven series in Nick Carter’s home town of Tampa last night as the Rays lost to the Philidelphia Phillies.

I hate when artists try and *show off* by changing the structure of the song. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, and just because America is broke, doesn’t mean the song is.
