The Grammy Awards found themselves in a sticky situation this weekend, with Chris Brown and Rihanna both no shows and both scheduled to perform during the show, so they had to turn to someone who would be able to pull something together in a short ammount of time.
Already scheduled to perform alongside T.I. later in the evening, Justin Timberlake was at the top of the list of people who’d be able to pull this off.
Show officials tracked down Justin just hours before the show kicked off, and he was happy to help, even suggesting that they find him the Reverend Al Green to perform with him. Add in Keith Urban on the guitar and Boyz II Men on the backup vocals, let them run through it one and one half times during dress rehearsal, and we ended up with one of the evenings great performances.
