Contrary to what you may have heard, Justin Timberlake won’t be opening up another one of his Southern Hospitality restaurants in a second location.
Mostly because he doesn’t own the first one to begin with.
After the rumors started floating that he was in the business to open another, a rep for the new king of pop told People Magazine, “Approximately three years ago, Justin and his close friends, Eytan Sugarman and Trace Ayala, discussed the idea of bringing Memphis-style BBQ and ribs to the New York City marketplace. The three friends spent a year creating the Southern Hospitality concept and were actively involved in all elements of design, menu offerings, and musical format.”
Once it’s all said and done, Sugarman is the sole owner/operator of the establishment. While his pals Timberlake and Ayala frequent the BBQ stop, and lend their input on new items and ideas all the time, they have no ownership claims to the establishment.
